Bibigo —
Stalls Transformed

An initiative to honor the Haeundae Pojangmacha-chon, a street food district in Busan that delighted locals and visitors for more than 50 years before its closure in early 2024. Known for its vibrant pojangmacha stalls, the district was more than a place to eat—it was a cultural landmark filled with flavors and stories.

This concept reimagines how Bibigo could preserve and extend that legacy by transforming the signature dishes once served there into meal kits. Through packaging design, the project translates the atmosphere of the vanished food stalls into a modern, accessible format—allowing people to bring the spirit of Busan’s street food into their own homes.

Haeundae Pojangmacha-chon

The lights of Haeundae’s street stalls may go dark, but their taste remains.

The meal kit packaging is inspired by the visual identity of the Haeundae Pojangmacha-chon.
Its red and yellow palette adopts the familiar colors of the street stalls, carrying their atmosphere into a
modern format. More than just a container, the design serves as a way to remember and
preserve the foods once created by the vendors who kept the district alive.

Packaging

In these meal kits, Bibigo includes the stall’s name and menu. Each package also
features the face of the original vendor, along with a description of their recipe and
why Bibigo has revived their signature food.
